Note: CICS use cases are based on real client implementations and are shown for reference. Each CIC can be fully customized to align with your organization’s workflow and CMMS terminology. In this example, the client integrates with SAP.
Overview

In this example the client implemented a CIC that allows users to update work progress, capture execution details, and record history — all without leaving the Work Week Assignment (WWA) workflow.
From the WWA grid, users can right-click a work order and launch a guided update interface.
Capture Accurate Execution Data

This CIC enables teams to:
- Update job status, including overhaul designation and completion status.
- Verify and adjust actual start and finish times.
- Record remaining duration and required resources for work still in progress.
- Confirm production impact when applicable.
Record Structured Work History

Beyond status updates, the interface supports detailed historical documentation directly tied to the work order, including:
- Object part identification.
- Damage coding.
- Cause analysis.
- Activity documentation.
- Short and long text notes for additional context.
Close the Loop with Feedback and Follow-Up

Users can also:
- Submit planning and execution feedback.
- Identify improvement opportunities.
- Initiate follow-up work when additional action is required.
By combining progress tracking, history, and follow-up management in one workflow, this CIC ensures accurate execution data and stronger planning for future work.
